This website uses strictly necessary cookies only: to keep your booking in the basket, remember the language you chose, keep you signed in and protect the payment. We use no advertising, profiling or analytics cookies, and we do not sell or pass on your browsing data to anyone.
That is why you will not meet a pop-up asking for permission when you arrive: article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE) exempts from consent those cookies strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for. If we ever add analytics or any cookie that is not essential, we will display the corresponding banner and ask your permission before installing it.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device — computer, tablet or phone — when you visit. It lets that device be recognised on later visits or as you move between pages. Only whoever sets it can read its contents.
The cookies we use
Session and basic operation
- PHPSESSID — identifies your session on the server while you browse. Deleted when you close the browser.
- wp-wpml_current_language — remembers whether you are reading the site in Spanish or English, so you are not sent back to the default language on every page. One day.
- woocommerce_cart_hash and woocommerce_items_in_cart — keep the room and dates you chose in the basket while you complete the booking. Session.
- wp_woocommerce_session_… — links your basket to the data held on the server until you finish or abandon the booking. Two days.
Account cookies, only if you register or sign in
- wordpress_logged_in_… and wordpress_sec_… — keep you signed in and stop anyone else impersonating your session. Session, or two weeks if you tick “remember me”.
- wp-settings-… — remembers display preferences in your account. One year.
Payment security, set by Stripe, the gateway that processes the charges
- __stripe_mid — detects and prevents card fraud by tying the transaction to a device. One year.
- __stripe_sid — does the same within a single payment session. Thirty minutes.
- __ssid — an auxiliary identifier for the same anti-fraud system. One year.
These three are set by Stripe as our payment provider, not by us, and they serve a transaction you have asked for. The details are in Stripe’s own privacy policy.
Cookies we do not use
We have no Google Analytics or any other audience measurement tool. We have no Facebook or other social network pixel. We use no advertising cookies, no ad personalisation, no cross-site tracking and no campaign attribution.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can view, block or delete cookies from your browser settings, and you can browse in private mode so that they are removed when you close the window:
- Chrome: Settings › Privacy and security › Cookies and other site data.
- Safari: Settings › Privacy › Manage website data.
- Firefox: Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and site data.
- Edge: Settings › Cookies and site permissions.
One thing to bear in mind: since every cookie we use is a necessary one, blocking them will stop the site working properly. You will not be able to hold a booking in the basket, complete a payment or reach your account. You will not lose any personalised advertising, because there is none.
Changes and contact
If we change the cookies this site uses, we will update this page before doing so. Write to legal@casaarume.com with any question, and you will find fuller detail on how we handle your data in our privacy policy.
If you believe we are not complying, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency: calle Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid, www.aepd.es.
