Around here
What there is to do from here
Catasueiro sits at the head of the Ría de Muros e Noia, with the beach a quarter of an hour on foot, Noia ten minutes away and Santiago twenty-five minutes away. This is not a list of clichés: every place below is real, with its true road distance and a link to the official source.
Distances are measured by road from the house. If you would like us to plan a day for you, say so when you book: we know the tide times, which matter more here than the clock.
The Camino
The Camiño Xacobeo Ría de Muros e Noia runs through Outes
It has been an official Jacobean route since 15 December 2020, and it is unusual in one way: it has two starting points, the harbours of Muros and Porto do Son, which meet before climbing to Santiago. For centuries this was the natural road between the villages of the estuary and Compostela.
The Camino passes through O Freixo, a little over a kilometre from the house, so you can join the stage on foot.
