This page explains what you pay, what happens if the booking is cancelled or changed, and in which cases there may be a charge after your stay.

What you pay when you book

Booking through the website charges the full amount of the stay, VAT and breakfast included. There are no extra charges for cleaning. If you travel with a pet, a supplement of €10 per night, VAT included, is added; you tick it when choosing your dates.

Payment is taken at the time of booking, with the methods offered on the site. We do not store your card number: the payment gateway holds it.

Cancellations

Up to 7 days before the arrival date: the full amount is refunded.

Less than 7 days before, and also in case of no-show or early departure: the whole booked stay is charged. Those nights are blocked and we can no longer offer them to anyone else.

How to cancel

Cancellations must always be requested in writing, to info@casaarume.com, giving the name on the booking and the dates. You can call us before or after on +34 941 68 93 56, at any hour for anything you need, but a phone call does not cancel a booking on its own: the email is required.

What counts for the deadlines above is the date and time of your email, not of our reply. We confirm the cancellation in writing too; if you have not had that confirmation within twenty-four hours, call us, because the email may not have reached us.

Changing dates

If we have availability we would rather move the dates than cancel, and we charge nothing for it. Tell us as early as you can.

When the money goes back

Refunds are made to the same payment method used for the booking, within fourteen calendar days of our confirming the cancellation. How long it then takes to appear in your account is up to your bank.

If we are the ones who cancel

If a breakdown or an event beyond our control meant we could not accommodate you, we would tell you as soon as we knew, with as much notice as possible so that you can make other arrangements, and refund the full amount.

Your access code

The house has no keys: you get in with a numeric code that we send you before you arrive, and which also opens your room. That code is personal to your booking: it is generated for your stay, it is never reused from one guest to the next, and it stops working when the stay ends.

Please do not share it with anyone who is not staying with you. If at any point you think someone else knows it, tell us and we will change it straight away.

Damage and the things in the house

We look after every detail of the house so that your stay is what you expect. We ask the same of you: treat the building, the furniture and the equipment as you would your own. Normal wear and tear is on us; what goes beyond normal use is not.

The person who made the booking is responsible for any damage caused by them or by those travelling with them.

The check after you leave

After every departure we check the room and the shared areas. If we find damage or something missing, we write to you within seven days at the latest, with photographs and a breakdown of the amount. No charge is made without that notice first.

Things that belong to the house

Towels, bed linen and the rest of the room’s equipment belong to the house. If anything is missing or damaged when you leave, its replacement cost is charged. These amounts are a guide: what is charged is the real cost, evidenced by an invoice or a quote.

Towels

Large bath or pool towel — €50

Hand towel — €25

Bed linen

Flat sheet — €65

Fitted sheet — €45

Pillowcase (each) — €20

Other

Samsung The Frame television remote control — €55

Hairdryer — €60

Decorative cushion or pillow — €45

Damage to furniture, appliances, textiles or fittings is charged at the real cost of repair or replacement, evidenced in the same way.

Extraordinary cleaning

If at the end of the stay the room needs cleaning beyond the usual — stubborn stains on textiles, excessive food or drink residue — a charge of €60 may apply, corresponding to the cost of that cleaning.

A smoke-free house

Smoking and vaping are not allowed inside the house. If this is not respected, a charge of €150 applies, which is what it costs to clean and deodorise the room and make it available for the next guest.

Pool and shared areas

The indoor pool and the shared areas must be used in line with the rules displayed in the house. Damage caused by improper use is charged like any other.

Tell us about anything that happens

Accidents happen. If something breaks or stops working during your stay, tell us as soon as you can. We look at each case with common sense, and telling us in time almost always makes it easier and cheaper to put right.

How a charge is made

If there is a charge, we write to you first with the photographs and the breakdown, and send you a payment link or our bank details. We do not charge your card on our own initiative: you make the payment from that link, or we agree another way with you.

If you disagree

Write to info@casaarume.com and we will look at it again. If you tell us within fifteen days of our notice, we reply with that review done; after that you of course keep all your rights as a consumer.

Right of withdrawal

Accommodation services booked for a specific date are excluded from the fourteen-day right of withdrawal under article 103.l of the Spanish consumer protection act (texto refundido de la Ley General para la Defensa de los Consumidores y Usuarios). The cancellation terms on this page apply instead.

Questions and complaints

Any question about a booking, before or after the stay, to info@casaarume.com. You will be answered by us.

Official complaint forms issued by the Xunta de Galicia are available at the house, and you can ask for them at any time.

Acceptance

By completing your booking and ticking the acceptance box on the payment page, you accept this policy: the payment terms, the cancellation terms and the charges for damage, missing items, extraordinary cleaning and smoking described above, on the terms and with the safeguards set out here.

Booking Arume Rural House means booking a room for particular dates, which are then held for you.
